Ranthambore Park is one of the biggest and most attractive national park of India which is located in SAWAI MADHOPUR, The district of southeastern Rajasthan which is surrounded by the north of BANAS and south of Chambal RIVERS and specially situated at coupling area of Aravali and Vindhya hill stations which is also famous for the view of wildlife and nature. Ranthambore park is away from the City Jaipur at about 130 kilometers and from Kota, this national park is far away at about 110 kilometers. The area of this most popular national park is 1334 Square kilometer(514.5 roundabouts 515 sq. miles ).
The origin of the name of this well-known and prominent visiting area “Ranthambore park” is on the name of the historic fort named Ranthambore fort which is located at the center of this park upon the top of a hill which is commonly dispelled by many former mosques, temples, the lakes full of crocodiles, water bodies which are helpful for the comfort of animals. The Ranthambore Park is a source of attraction for photographers and celebrities who are lovers of wildlife.

The Expedition of Ranthambore National Park


Preliminary, the Ranthambore national park was fixed and settled by the Government of India as the natural reserve of Sawai Madhopur in 1955. Later on, this national reserve was proclaimed as one of the Tiger Reserve Projects of India in 1973. As India doing progress and become one of the improved and progress states of Asia in 1980, it declares this wildlife, tiger reserve as the Ranthambore national park. in 1984-1991, this project was enlarged by the Indian government when Sawai Mansingh and Kalbadevi were added to it as the visiting place.

As the safari gates remain open for the visitors from October to June and close in the monsoon season from July to September, but the best time to visit these safari national parks is in the summer season, when the hot weather usually compel the tigers to leave their refuges or shelters. The ways to reach Ranthambore destination


By Air: The nearest airport is Sanganer airport in Jaipur, which is about 180 kms and 3:30 Hour drive from the Ranthambore. Jaipur is well connected to New Delhi and Mumbai with daily flights operated by domestic airlines. The flying distance from Jaipur to Delhi is thirty minutes and from Mumbai to Jaipur is one hour & thirty minutes.


By Rail: Sawai Madhopur is on the main railway line between Delhi and Mumbai and is also well connected to Jaipur. There are regular super fast trains like Jan Shatabdi, Rajdhani between these destinations. The travel time from Sawai Madhopur to Jaipur is approximately two hours and thirty minutes, to Delhi is 5 hours and to Mumbai is around fifteen hours.


By Road: Sawai Madhopur is about 3:30 Hour away from Jaipur, 6 Hour away from Agra and 8 Hour away from Dehli. All are connected through national highway.
